Eugène Le Moult had our original TROUSERS made to wear in the jungle¹; always ready to sprint towards a butterfly, and away from a jaguar! Elegant yet comfortable, it can be worn in bed and out-and-about. For comfort the waist of the trousers has elastics on both sides but none in the front nor at the back.

¹ he'd spend days and nights in the Amazon rainforest, solely in the company of convicts

(We found the BUTTON-TROUSERS in the wardrobe of dad's grand-dad, the WORLDS's №1 butterfly hunter)

STYLE : Paris, 1920, cabinet of wonders at 4. rue Duméril : Three years after moving back, E.Le Moult had the fourth largest collection of butterflies in the world, after those in museums in Washington and London.

FABRIC : 100%ᴾᵁᴿᴱ  Southern-Indian COTTON
• from fields SUSTAINABLY growing cotton for the Roman Empire since 35AD
• woven as Herringbone-Thick to P.Le Moult designs in nearby villages¹
• sewn up the coast in cosmopolitan Bombay²

¹ by English-speaking unionized weavers, in a state that has been alternating between soft-Left and hard-Left coalitions since 1957...
² in the also English-speaking workshop of close friends that we've been producing with since the early 1970s, conveniently easy-to-inspect on the main highway, a 20 minutes drive North of the international airport
