Cravatte with simple weave and durable finish. Designed to secure robes. Today it serves as an accessory for light wraps. At Jaulhac, Eugène Le Moult’s country house, Cravatte sashes appeared at soirées that welcomed international visitors.
Jaulhac’s gatherings had a cosmopolitan element. Visitors from abroad attended, reflecting global links in natural history. Accessories like obijime showed the international scope of exchange, even in a rural French setting.
